If you lost your bike key and suspect that someone may have access to it, please contact Citi Bike customer service, now supported by Lyft, to deactivate your key and prevent fraudulent use. Any overtime, service, damage or stolen bike fees incurred by your key before you have reported it as lost or stolen will be your responsibility.
In lieu of ordering a replacement bike key, we highly recommend switching to the Citi Bike app as your tool to unlock bikes. No waiting, no fee, and no hassle! Unlock bikes, find stations, plan your ride and more all from one convenient place. To switch over to mobile unlocking, simply fill out this form and you’ll receive an email within 24 hours verifying the change. For more information on unlocking bikes using the Citi Bike app, please head here.
Please note: If you choose to switch to mobile unlocking, you will no longer be able to unlock bikes using a key.
If you would like to receive a new bike key, you can submit a request via our contact form. Kindly note, Citi Bike no longer ships replacement bike keys. Instead, you can pick up your new key at a designated Citi Bike station kiosk for a fee of $10.
