Day pass users have the option to purchase a bike key for $5 instead of requesting ride codes from the station kiosk. This is a great idea if you'll be riding frequently throughout the day or over several days, so you don't have to request a ride code from the kiosk each time you want to take a bike out.
Check the Station Map on our website (not the mobile app) to see which stations have a key dispenser – they'll have a small black bike key icon next to them. Go to one of these stations to buy your pass and select the option to add a key to your purchase. You can use this key to take out a bike as many times as you'd like while your pass is active.
If your pass expires and you'd like to buy a new pass using the same credit card, you can add the new pass to your bike key.
When you finish with your key, either hang onto it for the next time you might like to use it or drop it into any plastics recycling bin.
